TERRA INCOGNITA OF VINNYTSIA! THE ISLAND HAS BEEN FREE FROM HUMAN PRESENCE FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS. A PLACE, WHICH WAS FORTIFIED IN THE SEVENTEENTH CENTURY, AND IN THE 70-80S OF THE LAST CENTURY A FESTIVAL OF POP SONGS WAS HELD, HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR VISITORS FOR 8 YEARS. THERE ARE RARE SPECIES OF PLANTS AND INSECTS ON THE ISLAND THAT NEED PROTECTION.
AT THE EUROPE ISLAND FESTIVAL, YOU HAVE A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY IN A SMALL GROUP OF PEOPLE TO VISIT ONE OF THE LARGEST ISLANDS ON THE SOUTHERN BUG, WHOSE OPENING IS NOT YET PLANNED FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC. OUR GOAL IS TO EMPHASIZE THE VALUE OF THE ISLAND THROUGH LITERATURE WITHOUT HUMAN INTERVENTION IN THE ECOSYSTEM.

THE SAME ABAZIVKA VILLAGE, WHERE IN 1864 MYKHAILO KOTSIUBYNSKYI, A GREAT 'SUN-WORSHIPER' OF UKRAINIAN LITERATURE, WAS BORN. THE WRITER LIVED HERE UNTIL 1897, BUT STILL VINNYTSIA IS INEXTRICABLY LINKED WITH KOTSIUBYNSKYI AND HIS WORKS.
THE PICTURESQUE GARDEN NEAR THE MUSEUM OF KOTSIUBYNSKYI IS AN IDEAL PLACE FOR MUSICAL-POETIC PERFORMANCES AND CONCERTS, AS THE ATMOSPHERE OF THIS LOCATION INSPIRES CREATIVITY.

INDEPENDENCE SQUARE IS LOCATED IN THE PICTURESQUE CENTRE OF VINNYTSIA! NOT ONLY IS THE BUILDING OF THE VINNYTSIA CITY COUNCIL LOCATED HERE, BUT ALSO REGULAR CONCERTS OF MUSICAL GROUPS, VARIOUS ARTISTIC EVENTS, AND FESTIVALS ARE HELD. INDEPENDENCE SQUARE, WHERE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 20TH CENTURY A DIVISION OF THE SICH RIFLEMEN WAS STATIONED, IS NOW ONE OF THE BEST PLACES FOR CULTURAL RECREATION IN VINNYTSIA.

STAIRS, LOCATED IN THE PARK "KUMBARI" ON THE BEAUTIFUL ROCKY EMBANKMENT OF THE SOUTHERN BUG RIVER, IS ONE OF THE MOST PICTURESQUE LOCATIONS IN VINNYTSIA, WHICH ONCE LED TO THE RIVER-CROSSING. IN THE EARLY TWENTIETH CENTURY, IT WAS POSSIBLE TO DESCEND TO THE ISLAND "SPORT" BY THE STONE STAIRS, WHERE THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY WERE ENGAGED IN A VARIETY OF ACTIVE SPORTS.
BUT AFTER THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE SABARIV HYDROELECTRIC POWER STATION IN THE 20S, THE ISLAND FLOODED, AND NOW IT IS POSSIBLE TO DESCEND TO THE RIVER BANKS TO ENJOY THE MAGNIFICENT AND FULL-BODIED SOUTHERN BUG. EUROPEAN SQUARE IS A FAVOURITE PLACE FOR RECREATION OF VINNYTSIA AND TOURISTS. ALEXANDER PARK WAS EQUIPPED HERE IN THE NINETEENTH CENTURY. SUBSEQUENTLY, IT WILL BE FROM THE EUROPEAN SQUARE THAT THE HISTORY OF THE CITY'S THEATRE WILL BEGIN, AND THE FIRST CINEMA IN VINNYTSIA WILL APPEAR. THE LARGE WATER-TOWER, BUILT BY ARCHITECT ARTYNOV, HAS FOR MANY YEARS BEEN A SYMBOL OF THE CITY.
